C2E2 Animator Premiere Screening
Indie films include animation on streaming and home video platforms! Pat Giles, a Creative Director, Animator, Character and Brand Designer, Writer, and Producer who worked for Disney, CN, MTV Animation, ad agencies GREY and Saatchi & Saatchi and has clients that include Hasbro, General MIlls, Dunkin, McDonald's and Pepsi promotes his animated series "Captain Cornelius' Cartoon's Cartoon Lagoon" where the Crew of the Manta Ray plumb the depth of Cartoon Lagoon for the worst cartoons ever made.
A Night with Anthony Michael Hall
While filming the indie movie The Class, produced by Anthony Michael Hall for his Manhattan Films, we organized a red-carpet benefit and fundraiser to support a Chicago friend in need of medical assistance. The sold-out event featured a special screening of The Breakfast Club attended by the indie film’s cast and crew.


Showcase


A music-filled movie night at Sundance 2023 — WA Films hosted a special screening of JACIR at the famed Music Lodge in Park City, featuring Oscar nominee Lorraine Bracco, Lebanese newcomer Malek Rahbani, and Memphis native Tutweezy.
The screening was followed by a live “Original Songs & Memphis Blues” performance with Grammy® nominees Al Kapone and Lawrence “Boo” Mitchell, R&B legend Toni Green, and composer Justin Toland. JACIR was proudly self-distributed by WA Films.


The World Premiere of The Crusades , a teen comedy-drama about three friends set out for one last great weekend while dodging authority, love affairs, and violent foes. Written by Jack Hussar, Shaun Early and Leo Milano, directed by Milano and starring Rudy Pankow. Distributed by VMI Releasing and is now on Paramount +.
Contemporary Asian Cinema
Cantopop star from Hong Kong Aaron Kwok (Left) and South Korean Lee Sun-kyun known in "Parasite" (Right) receive awards and standing ovations at Chicago's only Pan-Asian film festival, Asian Pop-Up Cinema.
